Victim Services

MADD has grown to become one of the largest victim assistanceMVS service programs in the United States. In 2004, MADD Victim Services became a beacon of hope for more than 31,000 victims and surviving family members. MADD is here when you need someone to help you through the emotional, legal and financial impact of a drunk driving crash. MADD’s trained Victim Service Advocates work throughout Massachusetts, providing community based support services to individuals and families who have been affected by drunk driving. Services are free and are available regardless of how recent or how distant the date of the incident.

Your MADD victim advocate can offer:

  • Emotional Support.
  • Crisis intervention services.
  • Referrals to appropriate social services and legal resources.
  • Assistance in completing paperwork for victim compensation.
  • Access to an email support network.
  • Assistance with preparing victim impact statements for court, parole and registry hearings.
  • Literature and information.
  • Other individualized services.

Honoring victims. Every year, MADD Massachusetts honors victims and survivors of drunk driving crashes throughout the Commonwealth with candlelight vigils and public displays of our memorial quilts and photo boards.
